Board of Supervisors

Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors has the responsibility for the role of leadership in developing and implementing all short and long term goals for the Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD).

Any resident eighteen years of age or older who resides within the county of the election can seek election to the SWCD Board of Supervisors. Potential candidates need to secure at least ten signatures from residents and/or landowners from the county and submit the petition to the district office.  Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements and deadline will be listed on the ballot for the special election, which will take place on at the Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet

Candidates can also be nominated by the SWCD nominating committee. This committee works throughout the year looking for candidates who are interested in the conservation and protection of natural resources within the county. In addition, nomination forms are available at the district office for interested residents
