Soil Test Kit -- Penn State

Stop by the office and pick up a sample container and pre-paid testing for basic soil characteristics (N, P, K, pH, Mg, Ca, CEC) for $10. You collect the sample and mail it to the Penn State lab and they will return fertilizer and lime recommendations based on the soil analysis and land use. This test has the ability to test additional parameters for micronutrients, metals, etc. It needs to be mailed in the envelope provided directly to the university. The results will be sent to you. If needed, time can be scheduled with SWCD staff to review the results.

The Wood Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors holds the regular monthly meetings the third Friday of each month at 8:00 a.m. at the district  office.  The meetings are open to the public.
