Nut Wizards Used to collect a variety of tree nuts, golf balls, shotgun hulls, Legos, brass, etc. Extra Small & Small-$40, Medium-$45, Large-$50 Soil Test Penn State Kit $10 Stop by the office and pick up a sample container and pre-paid testing for basic soil characteristics (N, P, K, pH, Mg, Ca, CEC) for $10. You collect the sample and mail it to the Penn State lab and they will return fertilizer and lime recommendations based on the soil analysis and land use. This test has the ability to test additional parameters for micronutrients, metals, etc. It needs to be mailed in the envelope provided directly to the university. The results will be sent to you. If needed, time can be scheduled with SWCD staff to review the results. Soil Test - SWCD In House Kit $8 This soil test will be conducted in house with SWCD staff. Colorimetric results for N, P, K and pH can help you get started with soil amendments for a garden plot or lawn. It can also help rule in or out a pH or nutrient issue in problem areas.
