Our History
Soil Conservation Districts began in 1937 when the U.S. was in the middle of an ecological disaster -
The Dust Bowl. The Wood County Soil Conservation District was chartered July 8, 1949. |

Dedicated to the care of the environment through responsible land and water policies, conservation practices, development, oversight and environmental education.
