This was frost seeded with an ATV in March into established wheat. They chose to seed 8lbs/acre of Medium Red Clover. To terminate they will spray with Liberty before planting soybeans.
They have been doing cover crops for 5 years.

What is Frost Seeding?
Frost seeding is broadcasting seed in the very early spring when the freezing and thawing of the top 1” of ground occurs. This effectively incorporates the small seeds (usually talking clovers, alfalfa and other small seeds) into the ground. This is typically late February through as late as early April. Commonly a March seeding in Wood County.
