#10 Kramer Rd across from The Andersons
On September 4th, 10lbs/acre of Crimson Clover, 46lbs/acre of Oats and 28lbs/acre of Cereal Rye were flown onto a wheat stubble field. On September 5th a 870 Case IH was used to work the seed into the soil. In the spring they will spray the clover with Round-Up to terminate it, as the rye and oats will winter kill then plant corn.
This is the 3rd year they have been using cover crops and the 1st year they have done every acre.
